Hiphop-battles.com is an international hip hop audio and graffiti graphics competition site for hip hop artists from around the world. Hiphop-battles.com allows users to try out their beatbox, rap or graffiti skills with other users on a unique online competition platform. Two artists enter a competition or »battle« and the whole community decides through democratic voting who they think is best. The ranking system encourages members to constantly engage in competitions.

We currently host over 15,000 MP3s that are all available for free download. The constantly expanding repertoire is attracting a steadily increasing amount of visitors. The beats are exclusively produced for HipHop-Battles.com which only allows self-produced audio and graphic files.

Hiphop-battles.com was founded in December 2003 and went online in January 2004 with the beatbox battle arena. Nearly a year later, in November 2004, the second arena for rap battles was launched. On September 1st, the third arena for graffiti battles was launched with the relaunch of hiphop-battles.com in its second version. The graffiti arena was a response to the high demand in the hip hop and graffiti scene, which currently lacks legal ways for competing art skills with graffiti writers from all over the world. In its second version, hiphopbattles.com also received a total makeover, and shines with a brand new design. Switching to another interface language or to another arena got much easier, and can now be controlled from everywhere on the website.

The Team of hiphop-battles.com: Marcel Oelke (puRe) is the programmer of the second version of hiphop-battles.com. He is 23 years old, a specialized software developer and currently works for a IT company in Bremen, Germany. Beside programming Marcel Oelke is also producing hiphop and drum&bass music for nearly 10 years now. The design and all the html code was done by Eike Reifhardt (BiophonC), the Designer and second person in the hiphop-battles.com team. Eike is 27 years old and works as freelancer. The third person in the team is Michael Scheel, who founded hiphop-battles.com and manages the project. He is 28 years old, studies medicine and works as freelancer for a promotion agency.
